Mastery Still Matters: The Case for Working Hard, Consistently

There is no emphasis on mastery these days. 

With many young professionals quickly jumping to the next bigger, better job opportunity, it's no longer common for people to work the consistent hours necessary to reach the level of mastery. What's worse, most workplaces do little to promote the concept. 

What leaders may fail to realize are the impactful benefits that come with having team members strive for higher standards, for perfected skills. As COO, I've realized this firsthand.
