In celebration of 15 years in business, the blog below features new N2 logos inspired by our milestone anniversary, all designed in-house by our talented team members. The blog header was created by Alex Wassil, Pub Designer.

N2 was founded in June 2004 by two friends who wanted more out of life – more of their beliefs represented in a brand, more time with their families, and more ways to impact the world around them. In the 15 years since, co-founders Duane Hixon and Earl Seals, along with more than 1,000 valued team members across the country, have built N2 into a company nationally recognized for its products, culture, and philanthropic giving. We're celebrating 15 years this month, looking back where we started, and ahead to the next 15.

What started as a tiny operation with a single two-page newsletter has become a full-scale organization with nearly 1,000 high-quality publications. Many of these publications are N2’s flagship product – neighborhood magazines – and through these, neighbors across 47 states have found themselves more connected to their community and local businesses. Additionally, with expansion into the real estate market with its Real Producers magazines, and with many other products launched or in the testing phase, N2’s growth continues to prove that print is certainly not dead. It is thriving for niche audiences with the help of local businesses who rightly see the value of consistent advertising in front of highly targeted customers.

Through these publications, N2 has provided a means to business ownership with its franchise model. Today, more than 800 franchisees across the U.S. have experienced firsthand the pride and gratitude that comes with building equity and working with a company that shares your values. And in Wilmington, North Carolina, N2 has made a name for itself as a reliable local employer, with more than 200 corporate team members working from the company’s Home Office.

In 2016,  N2 launched N2GIVES, its international giving program to fight human trafficking. The company’s lifetime giving amount exceeds $8 million, and N2 remains committed to impacting society on a local level, too. Its second annual nationwide N2 Serves Day – a day of volunteering in communities throughout the country – is slated to take place on September 27.

"15 years in, N2 is a small startup with a lot of people,” said Hixon, who also serves as N2’s CEO. “We have a lot of people on the team, and each person has helped contribute to the success of who we are. But we operate like a startup in that we strive to know our team members and care for each one. This focus has helped us succeed for 15 years, and this will continue to be our focus in the next season as well."

N2’s first 15 years have been marked by rapid growth; so much so the company has ranked on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies for eight years in a row. N2 has also been honored with awards from Fortune, Entrepreneur, Outside, Franchise Business Review, and more, in addition to being named the 2018 Employer of the Year in Media & Entertainment by the Stevie Awards.

As N2 now looks to the next 15 years, its mission and purpose remain unchanged: to honor God, strengthen the family, and create financial wealth for everyone involved; to build a nationwide company that actually cares about its people; and to inspire others to lead a more connected life.
