Publication Design Intern

Have you ever picked up a magazine and thought to yourself, “Wow, this looks good!”? It’s probably because you know good  content and great publication layout when you see it. If this resonates with you and you’re looking to gain valuable graphic  design experience as part of a thriving creative team, we’ve got the internship for you!

Our Publication Design Interns bring their attention to detail, strong desire to learn, and positive attitude to N2’s Design  team for 15-20 hours per week. This opportunity is a paid internship to be conducted remotely as most of our team  members are currently working out of the comfort and safety of their homes. Even so, we give our interns steady  responsibility and expect them to contribute to our team in a serious way, all while honing their publication design skills in  the process. Think you’ve got the attitude AND the aptitude to virtually join our team for a productive publication design  internship? Keep reading.

N2 is a fast-growing company made up of hundreds of team members; our team designs, prints, and ships more than 800  monthly publications to neighborhoods across the country. We rely on our publication designers to arrange stunning layouts  and to check for design accuracy and quality to ensure our publications are top-notch.

We’ll start conducting interviews in January 2021. Those selected will begin their adventure with N2 that month and cross the  finish line in May! Please note this is a remote opportunity.

To land this internship, you’ll need to:

  • Have basic competence with Adobe Creative Suite software, particularly InDesign.
  • Have an eye for layout design.
  • Be fast and accurate with your design work.
  • Have a basic understanding of Excel.
  • Have an exceptional attitude – no brilliant jerks allowed.
  • Be adaptable in an environment of change.

Beyond the benefits of a paid internship, we offer:

  • Flexible scheduling so you can balance your internship with classes and a personal life.
  • A people-first company culture.
  • Access to a licensed nutritionist.

We provide a drama-free culture built on trust, respect, and humility. We are emotionally healthy people who genuinely  enjoy working with each other. We recognize and celebrate people doing things right. Based on company needs, interns may  be promoted for their consistent performance and cultural fit. We intentionally develop our talent so we can promote from  within the organization.
