Happy new year. It was exciting to receive another invitation from Grimaldi’s Alamo Quarry asking Stroll Alamo Heights if they could host another event for the residents of Alamo Heights. How can you say no to some of the best pizza in the area?   But, this year, they wanted to go bigger and better. Stroll Alamo Heights invited over 40 residents, about 15 families, to join us for dinner.

Grimaldi’s was thrilled to host our Alamo Heights group again, as this was the perfect opportunity for them to reach out to the community as well. Although they have been at the Quarry location since October 2011, they are looking forward to getting more involved in the community heading into 2023. Already Grimaldi's Pizzeria takes great pride in being a part of the community and giving back as much as possible! It is their top priority to support Alamo Heights, the surrounding communities and local nonprofit organizations. Grimaldi’s has strong ties to local food banks, children’s hospitals and animal shelters and also has long-standing ties with Childhelp and No Kid Hungry.

So if you are looking for a great dinner with the kids, look no further than Grimaldi’s. Everyone loves pizza, and if you do it on a Tuesday evening, it's half-price wine night for Mom and Dad. Everyone wins on Tuesday. But feel free to visit their website to see other specials as well. A little unknown fact is that Grimaldi’s Alamo Quarry is the only Grimaldi’s in Texas to have a premium wine list they call “Primo Pours.” Each wine was selected specifically for the area and to complement the variety of food.

As usual, Grimaldi’s went over and beyond for our group, starting the group with salads and soft drinks and then quickly serving a variety of pizzas. That was perfect for all the kids in the group who were on the edge of their chairs waiting for their favorite pizza. They brought us everything from just cheese pizza to their seasonal specials. It was all so delicious. The pizza was so good that some of our child food connoisseurs ate three or four slices. If that isn’t a testimonial of the taste and quality of their pizza, I don’t know what is.

If you are in a rush, hosting a party, or getting together to watch the game at home, don’t hesitate to order online and pick up the pizza for take-home. Grimaldi’s pizza is definitely a favorite among our residents. It was already a “go-to” dinner spot for some families, while others in our group had never eaten here before. But, it was decided that Grimaldi’s would definitely be on the family menu at least once a month.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria serves traditional coal-fired brick-oven pizza using pizza-making traditions originating in Brooklyn over 100 years ago. The pizzeria’s 42 family-friendly, casual yet upscale New York-themed restaurants have become a favorite in Alamo Heights and in every community in which they serve. Over time, Grimaldi’s passion for pizza has made them a “must-eat” for pizza lovers everywhere. Grimaldi’s prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients for its pizzas and calzones. They are prepared in our signature coal-fired brick ovens, which deliver an authentic taste that cannot be achieved with gas, convection, or wood-burning ovens. The intense heat of the ovens evenly bakes the pizzas to create Grimaldi’s famous crispy, thin, smoky crust that Zagat has voted best pizza year after year.
