Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? Tell us about your family
Detroit, Michigan, I lived there until I was 18 years old. I have 2 parents, 2 brothers, 5 kids, and 3 grandkids
Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now.
This is my 15th business, One of my mentors advised me remodeling was the next step. I had no formal schooling in remodeling and didn't even know this was something I'd pursue. I ended up working for another company and learning from them as time went on I built my own brand from the ground up
What is your business, how/why did you start your business?
We actually started off in flooring - with Walk On Me flooring in 2013. That business grew and we obtained our GC license (General Contractor) and from there Ballard Interiors began.
Given your business expertise and the nature of what you do, what advice can you offer to the residents?
Don't worry about the trends, follow your vision. Make your own trends!
What else should we know about you, your family, or your business?
We are a family business, and we hope to keep our legacy going. I am proud of that.
